OK. Fine. We really don’t want any wedding gifts. But some people are insisting. So, here’s a list of things that are challenging or sometimes impossible for us to acquire in the Czech Republic. Feel free to contribute 🙂
- Vlasic whole kosher or polish dill pickles (curiously, the polish only seem to come as spears, but in any case, no stackers, slices or whatnot — the closer to whole, the better)
- Puffs Plus
- Children’s chewable ibuprofen
- Reach waxed dental floss
- Vaseline
- Brach’s Star Brites
- Cream of tartar
Seriously. Anyone who thinks he or she’s not brand loyal, try living abroad for a few years. Also seriously, we will not be disappointed if we end up with 80 jars of pickles.

Well, that’s a bummer! But if you try and give us as much advance notice as possible for a Ruppel family reunion in Summer 2020, we’ll try and pop over so you can meet Sarah and the girls. And, of course, you’re welcome to come visit Europe anytime!

Your wish list makes complete sense. Whenever I go to China for work, I always have an extra suitcase full of ‘American’ goodies for my friends that are expats there. One likes Windmill cookies, another wants gummy bears and poptarts. You never know what you miss until its not there….
I wish I were coming so that I could bring 10 boxes of Puffs.
